UAB’S Recycling Program

 

  • Approximately 2,231,640 pounds of recyclable materials are collected and recycled each year at UAB.
  • These materials would otherwise go to a local landfill. As part of our “GREEN” environmental efforts, UAB has a recycling program in multiple areas.
  • Some recyclable materials are more economically separated by our waste handling contractor after collection while other recyclables are collected and stored separately.
