Energy Management Services

 
Energy Management is working to reduce energy usage and cost on campus and in the hospital. In an effort to maintain low energy usage and cost, we work along with maintenance to maintain and repair heating and cooling, water, and electrical systems. Our energy accounting system enables us to analyze utility bills, produce budgets, and gives us a direct link to all utilities companies. Our services include: maintaining a state of the art metering system, provide energy conversation training, analyze HVAC air handlers for proper operation, new building commissioning, and serve as UAB’s primary contact for coordination with all utilities companies. Report energy related maintenance problems to campus maintenance, 4-5353 or hospital maintenance, 4-6181. Our office is located in the Facilities Administration Building in Room 139.
