Reduce Electrical usage with more efficient lighting
- Conversion of incandescent bulbs to florescent compact bulbs
- Retrofit existing four (4) bulb light fixtures to two (2) bulb fixtures using reflectors to get the same amount of illumination. Building examples: FAB, Hospital corridors, JT cafeteria and SL.
- Retrofit existing florescent fixtures with more energy efficient electronic ballasts and lamps. Building examples: SC, SON, SDB, SWB, WP, JT, QBT and North Wing
- Installation of occupancy sensor switches for interior space. Building examples: Academic, Rec. Center, FAB, RSB, Shelby, SDB, WP, SRC, SWB and FOT.
- Installation of timers or photoelectric sensors for exterior lighting. Building examples: Parking lots, NP, SWB, PD6, JT, WP, BDB, SRC and CPM
- Retrofit exterior lamps with more energy efficient lamps such as metal halide. Building examples: BBRB and LHR. Project in work: WP patient drop off area.
- Utilization of dimmers
- Installation of intelligent lighting controls for new buildings. Building examples: Academic, Rec. Center, RSB, Shelby, UBOB, NP, SWB and WP
- Lighting audits to measure and reduce unnecessary lighting levels. Building examples: FAB, 822, Ryals, HUC, Education, JT, Sterne Library and pedestrian crossovers in hospital buildings.
- Replacement of exit signs with incandescent bulbs to LED exit signs. Building examples: HB, EB, CH20, CCB, CVB, FAB, Bartow, BEC, CRC, DNMH, Camp Hall, Rast, VH, HSA1, SAC, AB, 1430, SWB, WP, JT, SRC, CPM, QBT, NW, NHB, OHB and Kracke
