Architecture & Engineering

 
  • Architecture & Engineering: DBS has a staff of licensed Architects and Engineers as well as an Interior Design Coordinator. It is critical that even small construction projects (i.e. moving of walls, doors, electrical outlets, etc.) be sent to our Department so we can ensure that all life safety codes, city permitting requirements, and Facilities Standards are met.

    Our design team is also responsible for the entire UAB Facilities Standards. There are standards for carpeting, flooring, lighting, plumbing, ceilings, and more, used on every UAB renovation project. These standards are a requirement for any work performed at UAB (external Architects and Subcontractors included).
